Privacy Policy

The short version: your videos never leave your device and we don't use tracking cookies. To download, you sign in with your email or Google account, and we keep a record of each download, including your ticker text, plus usage statistics to understand how +Ticker is used.

+Ticker is operated by Loom Lead LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the +Ticker website and editor.

Your videos and GIFs

When you add a clip, it is processed entirely in your web browser on your own device. Your video or GIF is never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and the finished file is created on your device. Closing or refreshing the page discards your clip.

What we collect

Your account

You need a free account to download. When you sign in we store your email address (and, if you use Google, the basic profile details Google shares with us) so you can sign in again. Sign-in codes are emailed to you by our account provider.

Your downloads

Each time you download, we save a record linked to your account containing: the text of your ads and your ticker settings (style, colours, fonts, size and position), whether the sponsor slot was kept, edited or removed, whether the clip was a video or GIF, the output format, whether the export succeeded, the time, and a unique promo code for that download. We use these records to run +Ticker, to confirm what was shown in sponsored slots, and to measure how audiences respond to the ads. They never include your video or GIF.

Usage statistics

We use PostHog, an analytics service, to count how the site is used. We send these events:

• Pages viewed, including the page address and the site that referred you.
• When you add a clip: its file type, file size, width, height and, for videos, its length. Never the clip itself.
• When you export: the ticker style, the number of ads, whether the sponsor slot was kept, edited or removed, the output format, the file size and how long the export took, or the error if it failed. Never the text of your ads.
• When you choose a preset, open or confirm the sponsor-slot unlock, and when you start or complete sign-in.

Like any website request, these reach PostHog with your IP address and basic browser information (such as browser type, device type and screen size), which PostHog may use to estimate your approximate location (for example, your country). When you're signed in, these events are linked to your account's ID number (never your email), so we can see things like how often creators come back. We don't use this data for advertising or sell it.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like all web hosts, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, and keeps short-lived request logs that we can use to fix errors.

Fonts

We load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google when you visit.

Cookies and storage

+Ticker does not use cookies. When you sign in, your browser's local storage keeps your sign-in session so you stay signed in; this is needed for your account to work and is removed when you sign out. Nothing else is stored, and our analytics run in a cookieless mode, so visitors who aren't signed in are counted anonymously and we can't recognise them when they come back.

Payments

Payments are not live yet: unlocking the sponsor slot does not charge you or ask for payment details. When payments are introduced, they will be handled by a payment provider and we will update this policy before then.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers that run the site:

• Supabase (accounts, sign-in emails and our database), in the United States.
• PostHog (analytics), in the United States.
• Cloudflare (hosting and security).
• Google (sign-in, if you choose to sign in with Google).
• Google (fonts).

We may also disclose information if required by law. These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and download records for as long as you have an account; ask us to delete your account and we'll delete them. We keep analytics data only as long as it's useful for understanding how +Ticker is used, and no longer than 12 months. Cloudflare request logs are kept for a few days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to how it is used. To get a copy of your data or delete your account and download records, contact us at support@ticker.social from the email address on your account. Analytics from visits when you weren't signed in can't be linked to you.

Children

+Ticker is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change, for example when we add payments or mobile apps, and change the "Last updated" date above.
